In animation, this technique adds depth and motion to a still image or multiple images, bringing them to life. Over the years I have been asked to create these types of animation to bring to life old etchings, old photographs or a stagnate image. By breaking apart an image I can create depth and give the illusion of moving through the picture. Adding other elements such as particles, lights, fire, smoke and other visual effects can create anticipation, excitement or a forbidding anticipation. This captivating drama in the motion of the image makes it feel alive.
